Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Tuesday, February 11. The family took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, marking an important spiritual moment for the business magnate and his loved ones.

Mukesh Ambani was accompanied by his mother, Kokilaben Ambani, his sons Akash and Anant Ambani, daughters-in-law Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant, and his grandchildren Prithvi and Veda. The Ambanis, dressed in traditional attire, added to the festive and devotional atmosphere of the grand event. Mukesh and Anant Ambani wore matching blue kurta-pajamas, while Akash Ambani sported a multicolored kurta. Shloka Mehta looked elegant in a white Anarkali suit, and the young Prithvi and Veda were seen in matching teal outfits.

The holy dip at Triveni Sangam was taken ahead of Magh Purnima, a significant occasion marking the conclusion of the month-long Magha Snan, during which devotees perform ritualistic bathing in the sacred river.

Prominent Visitors at Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

The Ambani family’s visit follows that of Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother, Anil Ambani, and his wife, former actress Tina Ambani, who participated in the Maha Kumbh Mela in January.

The grand religious gathering has seen the participation of several high-profile individuals. On February 10, President Droupadi Murmu took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam and offered prayers at the sacred site. Just days before, on February 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Maha Kumbh Mela and also performed the holy ritual. The city of Prayagraj was placed under high alert, with extensive security arrangements, particularly in the Arail area, to ensure a smooth visit for the dignitaries.

On January 21, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani also visited the Maha Kumbh Mela, where he performed Ganga Puja and participated in religious rituals. The Adani Group collaborated with the ISKCON Temple to distribute Mahaprasad to devotees from January 13 to February 26, offering meals as part of a large-scale spiritual service.

Understanding the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

The Maha Kumbh Mela, hosted in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, held once every 12 years. The festival is deeply rooted in Hindu tradition, bringing millions of pilgrims, saints, and devotees together to seek spiritual purification and divine blessings.

The bathing rituals, known as the Shahi Snan, commenced on January 14 during Makar Sankranti. Other significant bathing days included Mauni Amavasya on January 29 and Basant Panchami on February 3. As the festival progresses, millions continue to gather at Prayagraj to partake in the sacred ritual of bathing in the holy rivers, reaffirming their faith and devotion.

With the Maha Kumbh Mela still ongoing, more prominent figures are expected to visit the event, making it a truly historic and spiritually significant occasion.
