Apple has officially came up with the iPhone 16 launch lineup, introducing a range of new features with iOS 18. The iPhone 16 series includes several enhancements, such as customizable options, new physical buttons like Camera Control, and the introduction of Apple Intelligence. In terms of pricing, the base iPhone 16 model is priced at $799 (approximately Rs 67,000) in the US, while it is set at Rs 79,900 in India. The iPhone 16 Plus will be available for Rs 89,900 in India, compared to $899 (around Rs 75,500) in the US. The iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900 in India, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at Rs 1,44,900.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature a redesigned aesthetic reminiscent of the iPhone X, including a dual-camera setup on a capsule-shaped island. The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Plus offers a 6.7-inch screen. The Pro models maintain a design similar to the iPhone 15 Pro, with the iPhone 16 Pro featuring a 6.3-inch display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max sporting a 6.9-inch screen, the largest ever on an iPhone. Both Pro models include thinner borders and 120Hz ProMotion displays. They are available in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and the new Desert Titanium.
Powered by the advanced A18 chipset with second-generation 3nm technology, the iPhone 16 series offers significant camera improvements. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera that combines 48MP and 12MP images into a 24MP photo. It also includes a 2x telephoto zoom option and a faster f/1.6 aperture for improved low-light performance.
The iPhone 16 Pro models feature a triple-camera system, including a new 48MP fusion camera with a second-generation quad-pixel sensor, allowing for zero shutter lag in 48MP ProRAW and HEIF photos. They also support 4K120 video capture and come with a 48MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus. Additionally, both Pro models include a 12MP sensor with a 5x telephoto lens and a 120mm focal length.
