Late on Sunday, June 8, a shooting took place on the Las Vegas Strip, prompting a heavy police response and alarming witnesses. According to early reports and viral social media footage, the incident may have involved two YouTubers known online as SinCity-MannyWise (also called Sin City Family) and Finny Da Legend.
The Shocking event unfolded during a livestream, reportedly hosted by Finny Da Legend. A bystander caught the entire altercation on camera, showing a man-believed to be the shooter-wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses. The suspect can be seen pulling out a handgun and firing approximately seven rounds, as started bystanders screamed and fled. In the chaos, a women is briefly seen trying to intervene, but the shooter moves past her and continues firing.
Additional video clips shared online appear to show injured individuals lying on the pavement, while police cars and emergency services rushed to the area. At one point, a police officer is reportedly seen picking up the livestreaming camera. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) confirmed the incident, stating it occurred in the 3600 block of south Las Vegas Boulevard, but not inside any casino. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area, and the scene has been cordoned off for investigation.
One viral post described the situation as a “live shooter outside the Bellagio fountains,” noting that more than a dozen police vehicles, a helicopter, and roadblocks were quickly deployed.
This incident is especially unsettling for many as it echoes painful memories of the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting, when Stephen Paddock opened fire from a hotel room window, killing 60 people and injuring hundreds more-still the deadliest single-gumman mass shooting in U.S. history.
As of now, police have not officially confirmed the identities of the suspect or victim, and the investigation is ongoing.
