OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Review : OnePlus has recently launched the Nord Buds 3, the successor to the Nord Buds 2. These TWS earbuds are priced under ₹3,000 and feature 32dB active noise cancellation (ANC), 12.44mm drivers, and a large battery. The device looks decent and offers good value for its budget.
Should You Buy Them?
So, should you invest in these earbuds priced at ₹2,299? We’ve been using them for a few days and can share our experience.
What’s in the Box?
Inside the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 box, you’ll find some stickers, the earbuds themselves, a Type-C charging cable, silicone ear tips, and safety and warranty cards. We have the Harmonic Grey color variant, but they’re also available in Melodic White.
Design
The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 come in an oval-shaped case with a redesigned look that is quite appealing. You can choose from two color options as mentioned earlier. The case features a Type-C charging port.
Additionally, there’s a pairing button, which is a rarity in this price range. Compared to the previous version, these earbuds look more premium and have a solid build quality. Overall, we were impressed with the design of the OnePlus Nord Buds 3.
Pairing and Connectivity
The earbuds feature a dedicated pairing button. If you’re a OnePlus smartphone user, you won’t need to use it as they connect quickly. For other devices, you’ll need to activate pairing mode by opening the case and long-pressing the button.
These earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4 and come with dual connectivity. You also have various controls available:
- Single tap to play or pause.
- Double tap to skip tracks or answer calls.
- Long press for ANC activation.
- Press and hold for volume control.
Performance
The Nord Buds 3 are equipped with 12.44mm titanium dynamic drivers, which provide a fast and sharp music experience. You can activate BassWave for enhanced bass and enjoy 3D audio features.
While the audio experience is generally good, the ANC isn’t perfect. It reduces surrounding noise but doesn’t completely block it out. However, it is an improvement over the previous version.
The earbuds have a 58mAh battery that allows for hours of use without frequent charging. With ANC on, the battery life does decrease, but you can expect around 6 to 7 hours of use on a single charge.
The case itself has a 440mAh battery, which OnePlus claims offers over 40 hours of total battery life, and this claim holds true. If you don’t own a OnePlus device, downloading the HeyMelody app can help you manage the earbuds better.
Bottom Line
At ₹2,299, with an additional discount of ₹200, you can get these earbuds for under ₹2,000. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 is an excellent option in this price range, offering premium design and build quality.
Battery life is also commendable, and we didn’t face any issues with calls or connectivity. While the ANC could be better, it’s essential to consider the budget. Overall, if you’re looking for earbuds with a premium look and feel at an affordable price, these are worth considering.
