The UP International Trade Show begins. For five days, the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida will showcase the skills of artisans from Uttar Pradesh to the world. This year, over 350,000 visitors are expected, surpassing the numbers from the first edition. So far, more than 350 buyers from 70 countries have registered to participate. Attendees will have entry via QR codes and can access information through a mobile app.
Showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s Craft through ODOP
From September 25, the world will witness the craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit of Uttar Pradesh. The event was inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at the India Expo Mart, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other prominent figures in attendance.
The UP International Trade Show (UPITS) will conclude on September 29, with Union Minister Piyush Goyal wrapping up the event. This initiative aims to introduce attendees to the crafts, cuisine, and culture of Uttar Pradesh, with a special focus on products created under the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme. This year, there will also be a strong emphasis on startups from various sectors. Vietnam is the partner country for this edition.
Expecting Millions of Visitors
The UPITS features 2,500 stalls and exhibitions. So far, representatives from over 350 companies and entrepreneurs from 72 countries have registered to participate. The event expects to attract more than 350,000 visitors, exceeding the previous edition’s turnout.
According to Rakesh Sachan, Uttar Pradesh’s MSME and Khadi Minister, a Khadi Fashion Show will be held on September 27, showcasing traditional attire through a fashion event. The Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, will be present for this occasion.
Convenient Access with QR Codes and Mobile App
To facilitate attendees, entry will be managed via QR codes, and a specially launched mobile app will provide a directory, event details, and program information. This app will be available on both Android and iOS platforms.
VIP guests will have access to a modern lounge. B2B and B2C meetings will also be held during the trade show. Business hours will run from 11 AM to 3 PM, while the trade fair will be open to the public from 3 PM to 10 PM, allowing visitors to explore Uttar Pradesh’s handicrafts and ODOP products.
Cultural performances will be presented by groups from Vietnam, Bolivia, Russia, Venezuela, Egypt, and Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Council for Cultural Relations. Additionally, singers Ankit Tiwari, Kanika Kapoor, and the Euphoria band led by Palash Sen will also perform.
