The Tragic End of a Notorious History-Sheeter: Virdharam Siyol Dies in a Road Accident

In a shocking turn of events, Virdharam Siyol, a known history-sheeter from Rajasthan’s Barmer district, lost his life in a road accident. The incident took place on the Kanpur Express Highway in Uttar Pradesh when his Swift car collided with a truck. Two of his associates, who were also in the vehicle, sustained severe injuries. The tragic news has left his family in mourning.

The Fatal Journey

According to reports, Virdharam Siyol was traveling to Gaya in Bihar for a religious ceremony with two of his friends. While on the Kanpur Express Highway near Balhaur, their car met with a fatal collision around 7 AM on Tuesday. The impact left all three occupants critically injured. They were immediately rushed to a hospital in Kanpur, where Veer Dharam succumbed to his injuries.

A Day Before the Accident: Seizure of Assets

Virdharam Siyol was a history-sheeter under the jurisdiction of Barmer Sadar Police Station, with ten criminal cases registered against him under the NDPS Act, Arms Act, and charges of assault. He had accumulated assets worth crores through illegal drug trafficking. Just a day before the accident, the police had frozen assets worth Rs. 2 crores belonging to him, which included a luxurious bungalow, a Creta car, and three sleeper-coach buses.

Police Investigations and Legal Actions

Authorities revealed that Virdharam Siyol had attempted to launder his illegal earnings by setting up V.R. Civil Construction Company under his wife’s name. The police had conducted a thorough investigation into his assets and submitted an application under the NDPS Act in New Delhi for legal action. Interestingly, when police officials initiated action against his properties, Virdharam Siyol was not present at his residence.

According to Barmer ASP Jassa Ram Bose, Virdharam Siyol had acquired illegal wealth through drug trafficking, and as per legal provisions, assets acquired through such means can be seized under Section 68F(2). Following this, the police froze his bungalow, luxury vehicles, and buses. Additionally, notices were placed on the seized properties, restricting any sale or mortgage transactions. However, his family members were permitted to continue residing in the property.

Meanwhile, police investigations into other history-sheeters in the district are ongoing. It was also confirmed that Virdharam Siyol was out on bail at the time of the accident.

Legal Proceedings on Seized Assets

Sadar Police Station In-Charge, Satyaprakash Vishnoi, stated that the police have written to the RTO (Regional Transport Office) to blacklist the vehicles owned by Veer Dharam. Once blacklisted, these vehicles cannot be sold or transferred. The officer further confirmed that at the time of the police action, Virdharam Siyol was not present at his residence.

Illegally Acquired Wealth

The police compiled a detailed report on Virdharam Siyol’s assets and sent it to the competent authorities in New Delhi under the NDPS Act. An in-depth analysis of his financial records indicated that he had illicitly amassed wealth amounting to approximately Rs. 2 crores.

This incident marks the end of a long history of crime and law evasion for Virdharam Siyol. However, the police continue their efforts to track down other individuals involved in similar illicit activities. His death in a tragic accident has brought an unexpected closure to a chapter of criminal pursuits.
